The organisation of scientific meetings for members
Providing a friendly and supportive atmosphere for students, interns and residents working with veterinary research to present it

AVTRW is managed by a national committee consisting of a President, Junior and Senior Vice Presidents, a Secretary and a Treasurer. These positions are annually elected at the organisation's AGM which is held during the conference.
The committee is supported by a council which consists of co-opted members representing all of the major veterinary research, teaching and governmental organisations.
