Uniting science and compassion

The AVTRW has an extremely long and distinguished history, with the association running since 1946. We aim to further the interests of our members through:
  • The organisation of an annual conference
  • Providing a friendly and supportive atmosphere for students, interns and residents working with veterinary and allied research to present their work
  • Providing networking opportunities for early career researchers

Meet the team

AVTRW is managed by a national committee consisting of a President, Junior Vice President and Senior Vice President, a Secretary and a Treasurer. These positions are annually elected at the organisation's AGM which is held during the conference. 

The committee is supported by a council which consists of co-opted members representing major veterinary research, teaching and governmental organisations.
